1968 Reds Picture Pack

Very similar to previous years these sport non-glossy photos on thin paper.  This year is notable for the rookie of Johnny Bench.  It also carries the same photos from previous years so only true way to date them is by complete set.  The 1968 set is unique in that Alex Johnson makes his only appearance.

1963 Reds Picture Pack Photos

For many years the Reds would issue 12 player picture packs to fans who would ask for them and send in a small amount for postage and also these black and white 5 x 7 photos were sold at Ballpark souvenir stands. Most photos can be dated to various years, as they often used the same photo for multiple years. A player photo with a specific pose might have been issued one year, and used to fill team sets for the following years. From 1958 -1961 for example, additional poses of the player might have been made during this time, and used as well. This makes it difficult to date a specific photo to one year. A set can be identified by using a team rooster. 

I'll focus on the 1963 set as it contains the Rose rookie photo it is very similar to the 65-68 photo pack issue but having them side by side the 63 is cropped just hair closer at the bottom and the left side.  It is easiest to verify the years by complete set as certain players only played certain years so the 63 set is unique in that it contains Eddie Kasko whom only played with the Reds till 1963.

1980-81 Philadelphia Phillies Bulletin insert

Using the same photos as 81 Phillies sketch cards these were inserted into Philadelphia The Bulletin TV Guide once a week from Nov 1980 - Aug 1981 and covered football, baseball, hockey, and basketball of the philly area stars.

Current checklist missing a few days so any info on completing them is appreciated.

1984 Cincinnati Enquirer Reds Scrapbook

Like the 60's reds enquirer set these newspaper "clippings" were distributed each day, a different member of the 1984 Reds was featured with some biographical information, his statistics as well as a brief biography.  They measure about 2 1/2" by 4 1/4" when cut from the Cincinnati Enquirer Newspaper.

1979 Penn Emblem Patches

This set features multi-color, three dimensional embroidered portraits of 100 of baseball's favorites displayed on patches approximately 2 5/8 x 3 1/4". The patches could be ordered by mail for $2.50 each from Penn Emblem Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The patches are unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order.  One interesting note the Pete Rose patch can be found in 3 varieties normal red outline about 97%, blue outline about 3%, and a black only 1 known black has been seen might be more but extremely rare so most likely a proof of some type most likely caused by his move from the reds to phillies.

1980 Philadelphia Phillies Team Issue Drawings

This 10-card set of the Philadelphia Phillies was issued in a clear front envelope and was likely sold at the stadium. The set measures approximately 8 3/4" by 11 5/8" and features art work by Todd Alan Gold. Each card displays two action drawings and a portrait of the same player. The backs are blank. The cards are unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order.

1991 Legends Sports Memorabilia Magazine

Continuing the trend the 1991 set was issued 9 cards in uncut format with silver foil around the outside.  The postcards remained basically the same with no foil and the backs indicating series 2.  Beginning with the national sports convention issue/program they started issue 2 version of the cards 1 with silver foil and the scarcer gold foil.

Very hard to scan/photo the silver/gold difference but I assure you it's obvious in hand.
