1970 MLB Photostamps

There has always been a lot of confusion with this set but I'll try and straighten it out.  The 1970 set is an extension of the 1969 set the 69 set was issued in 18 sheets of 12.  The 1970 set continued that trend with 2 exceptions the last sheet only has 3 cards and the album had an extra perforated sheet of 12 cards.  They are easy to tell apart when in sheet form but when cut out biggest difference is they do not have airbrushed logos.

1968 Jamesway

Jamesway trucking was the trucking company for Partridge Meats hence this set looks very similar to their partridge cousins.  It appears that this set was distributed to the business execs of the company and estimated between 25-50 sets made although the Pete Rose is by far much more prevalent than the others could be just the fact he was more popular player hence it was saved more so more survive to today.  Only Rose is in fact listed for the set but there exists 3 more 1 more Red and 2 more Pittsburgh players so also possible the Pittsburgh players were distributed to Pittsburgh execs and the Cincinnati players in the Cincy area.  The checklist may not be complete if anyone has more to add let me know.

Checklist -

Pete Rose
Johnny Bench
Willie Stargell
Terry Hanratty - Football

1981 FBI MSA Disc

I'm working on tracking down this set but it is uber rare issued in Canada on the bottom of FBI (Fanta Beverage Inc.) flavored drinks.  Very similar to the 82 set but rarer and since the 82 set is also one that is almost unknown makes this release almost in the test release range.  Most likely due to geographical distribution and not a very popular drink to start with and lack of baseball following pretty much doomed both sets from becoming popular.

Anyone with any additions to this set please email me.

Known examples -

Reggie Jackson
Nolan Ryan
Rick Bosetti
Steve Garvey
Warren Cromartie

Believed exists but unverifired -
Pete Rose

1968 Reds Picture Pack

Very similar to previous years these sport non-glossy photos on thin paper.  This year is notable for the rookie of Johnny Bench.  It also carries the same photos from previous years so only true way to date them is by complete set.  The 1968 set is unique in that Alex Johnson makes his only appearance.
